I Had My Teeth Cleaned Today

I went to the dentist to day. Had my teeth cleaned. The dentist hygienist
got on my case because she had to do a lot of strapping to remove the tarter from my teeth.

Hello there everyone.

I have a confession to make my friend, yes it true that, It had been almost a year since my last cleaning. I know things like that is what got me into this fight with #gum#disease in the first place.

She informed me that it was to my advantage to come see her every six months. I promise her that I would be back in six months.

After the dentist took a look into mouth and checked my teeth with his instrument of toucher he wants me to come in for some filling.

I am hoping that all my efforts will put me on the right path to a healthy mouth.

I hate gum disease!

The Daily Flossing Challenge: Day 7-19

I am flossing every day to reduce #gumdisease and tooth decay.

Hello there Everyone.

This is the post about day 7-19 of my daily flossing challenge. I have something to confess, I did not floss two day in the past week.

Yes I went to bed and forgot all about flossing. I did not give up, I flossed the next day both times.

People you have got to floss #likeaboss .
.

It take time and determination to for new habits to form so as I said befog we need to give a new habit thirty day to stick. We can do this, yes we can.

I am not only using string but the little picks and the long handle and the little snap on head too. I like the pick and the handle with the snap on head the best. I just can't get use to using that little piece of string. I do have a big supply of each kind of floss.

Gum disease can be controlled and gotten rid of by flossing daily. So I challenge you to floss daily.

Take good care of your teeth.

The Daily Flossing Challenge

To fight gum disease you have to floss.

Hello there everyone!

When was the last time you flossed between your teeth?

Do you ever floss?

I Gloria Freeman, challenge you to floss every day for the next thirty days.

They say it takes around thirty days to form a new habit, so we are going to put that to the test.

So every day for the next thirty days we are going to get busy flossing. As you know that is the only way to clean the bacteria and plaque from between our teeth.

The plaque and bacteria is what causes this nasty condition.

I truly hope that you all will follow me on this journey to fight gum disease.

I want a healthy mouth. Let's say goodbye to this condition.

Take good care of your teeth.

Gum Disease And The Family Connection

When it comes to gum disease is there a family connection?

Hello there everyone.

When I was a little girl  I remember my Dad always complaining about a toothache.

He had a lot of mouth pain. He also loss some of his teeth

I have a sister who is still in her fourty who started loosening teeth years ago.  It got so bad that she had to have all of them pulled. She now have a full set of dentures.

Another one of my sister has been having toothache, have had a few pulled and have one loosen now.

It's sad to say but it seems as though this condition is a family affair.

Make sure your family take good care of their teeth, we only get one permanent set in our lifetime.

Do your family members have this condition?

Flossing ?#/#!

I know that I need to floss but it so hard trying to use that piece of string

Hello there everyone!

Me trying to o floss is like a big moose in a China shop. Something is bound to go wrong.

That is why I have all these different type and kind of floss.

I can't get it into my mouth right. I end up cutting my gums and making things worse.

So for the best thing for me is the Reach or other brands with the long handle like a toothbrush and the little snap on head.

I have better control with it than anything else.

It is besth to Floss every night.

Take care of your teeth.

Do you floss every night or daily?

Time For A New Toothbrush

Change your toothbrush every three months

Hello there everyone!

I just checked the calendar and over three months has passed since I change my tooth brush. That a big no no.

Not sure how that happened most of the time I will change one like clockwork.

It's even more important for people who have gum disease like me.

Just think of all the nasty bacteria that has collected on it in that amount of time, well maybe we shouldn't think of that.

I like the ones with the very thick handle and mixed bristles.

They are so much more easy to use with my arthritic hand.

Take good care of your teeth.

Have you replaced your toothbrush in the past three months?

Your health and gum disease

Did you know that gum disease is related to other health problems?

Hello there everyone!

I am now 58 years old.

I had a heart by pass in 1999, yes I was very young to be having heart problems but, I did.

A year later I found out I had type 2 diabetes I have to take pills and give myself shots.

To make matters worst I found out that I had rheumatoid arthritis RA, a few years later. Did you know that people with RA are eight time more likely to have problems with there gums.

Inflammation play a big part in both problems..

I have the driest mouth ever, I think it because I take so many medication for all my health problems.

So having such a dry mouth raises the risk of cavities and gum disease I have lots of cavities. I am also under lot of stress and I am depressed because of my health.

Take good care of your teeth.

Please brush your teeth and floss regularly. Rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash at least once a day. The dentist is as important as any other doctor so go see him regularly.

Do you have other health problems beside this one?

Living With Gum Disease

I am living with gum disease!

This makes me feel so sad!

Two years ago I went to the dentist for a cleaning.

When my teeth was being cleaned my gum bleed so much. They told me that I had gum disease.

I knew my gums were red and sore. I had bad breath.

Brushing my teeth, using mouthwash, flossing didn't help with the bad breath.

About two hours after I got home that day my upper front teeth started feeling very tight and I felt pressure to.

So I put my thumbnail between my teeth the next thing I knew my teeth started shifting and now one of my teeth has moved down out of my gum and I have a big gap between them now.

Before this I had no gap between my teeth.

I don't smile like I used to. I am so ashamed of how I look. And so self conscious about my mouth.

Take good care of your teeth.

Wanted a healthy mouth.

Are you fighting this enemy too?
